Brendan Rodgers has urged Celtic fans to remain cautious with internet sensation Karamoko Dembele, after the 13-year-old has been thrust into the spotlight after appearing for the Glasgow club's U20 side and also training with the first team.

Rodgers will not have been happy to find out that the Scotland U16's match with Wales, where Dembele was supposed to feature, was broadcast live on Facebook, as has been the case with the other matches in the 'Victory Shield' that also features the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

It seems that many fans tuned in to see how Dembele got on, and most were very happy with what they saw. After being introduced as a substitute, "wee man", as he is apparently being called by those who watched the game from the sideline, was excellent.

He showed an incredible level of comfort on the ball for someone his age, and one piece of first-touch control that spread around social media like wildfire.

Sure enough, a highlights compilation soon emerged, and you can actually hear the Scottish commentators trying not to get too excited, but being taken aback by his ability.

Is it unfair for a boy his age to have such a focus on his footballing career already? Yes.

Is it understandable because he is playing with kids bigger and far more experienced than him and looking like an extremely promising young talent? Also yes.

The lad can clearly play ball.

His parents are going to have to make sure that anyone who tries to influence him in the coming years has both the player and Celtic's best at heart, but if Rodgers was hoping that Dembele would be kept away from the public eye, it's going to be difficult if he keeps on doing really nice things on football pitches.
