What a man. Mick McCarthy has won the hearts of many an Ireland fan since his return to manager's role, and we have started to remember why we loved him so much the first time around.

While he has given countless interviews since taking the job, we still haven't grown tired of hearing him speak. He is never dull, and is very quick with some clever one-liners. He can also leave the boot in when given the opportunity, something he showed today.

McCarthy was in charge for Ipswich at six years, before departing in May 2018. The supporters had grown tired of his management style, and were hoping for a more expansive style of football.

It would ultimately back fire spectacularly, with the club relegated to League One the following season.
