There was just no chance that a Manchester City cup final would be allowed to pass by without a comment from one, or both, of the Gallagher brothers, and sure enough after the game Noel Gallagher gave a manager-esque live interview to the Sky Sports studio.

However, it was what he said before the match that has since been thrust into the limelight after the game, as the Oasis legend gave his prediction to Manchester City's official Facebook page.

And it called it, spon on. Including the final kick-taker!

Gallagher is being rewarded now for being a long-suffering City fan all his life, and he knows his team so well that he can predict what is going to happen.

He joked after the game that all the City fans claimed the decision to start Caballero was a masterstroke before the game, then revealing that the decision had not gone down well at all, still, they'll be a happy bunch tonight.
