Jack Byrne has had a couple of very good weeks. The Irish Under-21 international's is good form at SC Cambuur was recognised by Martin O'Neill, with the Manchester City youngster training with the senior side over the international break. It afforded Byrne some good publicity ahead of the Euros, although this report by Dutch website sportnieuws.nl oddly referred to him as a Manchester City 'mercenary':
One of the main aspects of Byrne's character that has shone through in the last couple of weeks has been his incredible confidence: he has spoken openly of his belief that he is good enough to compete at international level. Byrne is likely to return to Man City in the summer, where he will aim to impress Pep Guardiola. He won't have it all his own way, however, judging by the performances of Patrick Roberts, a Man City forward who is currently on loan at Celtic.
Roberts scored twice for Celtic against Hearts to give the Bhoys a critical win the Scottish title race. The first was an utterly delightful dink over the goalkeeper:

Roberts' goals have put Celtic seven points clear at the top of the league. Roberts is due to return to City midway through next season, where he will compete with Byrne for the attention of Pep Guardiola.
