Watch: Incredible Moment Between Ireland And Sweden Fans In Paris Last Night

Before you watch this fine specimen of Scandinavian manhood belt out his thoroughly impressive cúpla focail, we would like to point out that we were as sceptical as you may well be when you watch the clip.

That's surely just an Irish chap in a Swedish jersey. Someone decided to take the piss out of us and trick us into publicising an Irishman singing the Irish national anthem.

Before we go any further, we think it best that you watch the video first. So sit back, listen to the dulcet Irish tones and enjoy.

An Irish guy in a Swedish jersey without any doubt. You can hear the accent. Granted, there's a bit of Swedish put on for effect but that sounds 90% like a died in the wool Irishman. It's not. Genuinely, it's really not.

That man's name is Marcus Zetterström, a Swede who just so happened to learn the entirety of Amhrán na bhFiann off by heart ahead of last night's game because 'he likes national anthems'.

And if he went to that kind of trouble it was only right that he happened to bump into some Irish fans in a bar after the 1-1 draw in Saint Denis to show them what he had learned. If ever there was an advert for how major tournaments are supposed to go, that's it.

A Swede singing the Irish national anthem to a bunch of Irish fans who in turn respond by chanting 'Sweden' over and over again. Sorry Westlife fans, we've a new favourite clip of Irish fans in France.

Big thanks to Brían Doyle for sharing the video.
