Watch: Paul Scholes Pulls No Punches As He Vents His Frustrations With Man United

While Manchester United fans were busy complaining about the standard of Michael Owen's commentary, they may have missed Paul Scholes' post-match comments after Manchester United needed a stoppage time penalty to beat Sheffield United and advance in the FA Cup.

Scholes was speaking in the immediate aftermath of the result and was visibly frustrated as he proclaimed that he wouldn't be able to recover from a performance like what he had just seen for days if he had played in it. He also voiced his concerns with Marouane Fellaini and what is currently being asked of him tactically, while lamenting the use of players like Ander Herrera and Anthony Martial in different positions week to week.

The unanimous verdict on social media is that Scholes is speaking a lot of sense, but it's clear that questions will again be asked of Louis Van Gaal despite advancing in the FA Cup.

I've tried to defend this team in the last two or three weeks, but it's getting more and more difficult.

Scholes is certainly not alone in his views, and with Van Gaal coming out and playing down the possibility of January signings despite a blatant lack of depth in the squad, you get the feeling that the pressure is once again about to reaching boiling point for the Dutchman.
