Watch: Tears And Ecstasy As Scotland Reach Euros In Penalties

While Ireland had to suffer through a humiliation in Wembley tonight, and Northern Ireland had their Euro 2020 dreams thwarted by a goal that was assisted by the arse of Johnny Evans, Scotland, bloody Scotland, managed to reach the Euros in the most dramatic way possible.

The Jocks beat Serbia on penalties after David Marshall saved a spot kick from Mitrovic. It was the 10th penalty taken in the shootout. The previous nine were converted.  Scotland had gone up early in the match but Serbia equalised late to send things to extra time. It is Scotland's first time qualifying for a major tournament since 1998.

Marshall's save had to be VAR'ed, leading to this wonderful moment of confusion, hope and finally delirium.

Ryan Christie gave a wonderfully emotional interview following the game that will be replayed over and over and over. If Ireland can't be there, at least Scotland will be.

'It's been a horrible year for everyone. We knew that coming into the game, that we could give something to this country and we hope everyone back home is having a party. Because we deserve it. We know it. You know it. We've been through so much over the years. That's a monkey off the back now,' Christie said.

In the dressing room afterwards, there was boogie-woogie.

They'll be up against the Czech Republic, Croatia and England in their group in the Euros.
