Photographer Ashley Cahill was in Clontarf for the Cup tie between Sheriff YC and Athlone Town last night. The game finished 2-2 but that was a mere sideshow compared to the horror story that was unfolding in the dressing room.
For Ashley informs us that one Athlone squad player missed the first half hour having been locked in the dressing room (presumably accidentally, but who knows?)
Madness...one of this Athlone Town squad has just entered the pitch area having been locked in the dressing room for the 1st 30 mins!!!

We are dying to know more about this. Was the player locked down there on purpose? How did he get out? Did some crafty Sheriff apparatchik lock the door as he was late emerging from the shower? Cahill is remaining tight-lipped about his scoop.
