On a day when Manchester City pulled themselves free from the perilous 'crisis' narrative - and James McClean ONCE AGAIN DIDN'T WEAR A POPPY, AHHHH - West Brom fans stole the show at the Hawthorns.

Well, that's probably a bit harsh on the all-of-a-sudden-red-hot-again Sergio Aguero and in-form German midfielder Ilkay Gundogan, but the Baggies faithful were certainly the star performers in white and navy on Saturday afternoon.

With their side trailing 2-0 to an Aguero brace as half-time approached, the West Brom fans could see as well as anyone that this particular fixture had gone for their side (it's that never-say-die attitude and #intensity which makes the Premier League so special), and so took to entertaining themselves while City looked to wrap up proceedings before the interval.

On the rare occasions James McClean and co. were able to retain the ball, the fans would sing "We've got the ball!", before quickly switching to "We've lost the ball" as soon as City dispossessed a West Brom player.

Lose the ball West Brom did, of course, to devastating effect on numerous occasions, but it's great to see fans enjoying themselves in spite of the shit-show which transpired to unfold in front of them. It's certainly a fitting sequel to West Brom's "We've had a shot!" which could be heard ringing around Anfield last weekend.
