The Olympic Stadium descended into chaos this afternoon as a section of West Ham United fans chose to demonstrate their dissatisfaction with the club's owners, David Gold and Davis Sullivan.

Taking on Burnley in what could be a crucial game in determining their Premier League status this season, West Ham's captain Mark Noble became embroiled in a confrontation with a fan who made his way onto the pitch shortly after Burnley had opened the scoring through Ashley Barnes.

United fans were also seen leaving their seats to make their thoughts perfectly clear to Gold and Sullivan.

What is being widely ridiculed as a dangerous, and ill-timed move, photographs subsequently emerged of children being taken from the stands and held for their own safety in the Burnley technical area and bench.

Incredible scenes that are rarely if ever on show in the Premier League, a selection of West Ham United fans are sure to have gotten their club in a lot of trouble.

In the mean time, West Ham slipped to a 3-0 defeat to Burnley.
