Thanks to Eoin Butler for reminding us what was possibly the last time Ireland wore black armbands in an international football match: a few days after the death of Princess Diana for a World Cup Qualifier in Iceland. Even Roy Keane pitched in. Classy.
Re: Loughinsland massacre. Team didn't wear black armbands six days later against Mexico, but did three years later for death of Diana.
