It is widely known that Victor Valdes will be leaving Barcelona next summer, and talk of who is going to replace the Catalan at the Camp Nou is starting to intensify.
Some of the leading candidates include Chelsea 's loanee Thibault Courtois from Atletico Madrid and Borussia Monchengladbach's Marc-Andre ter Stegen, but Barcelona midfielder Xavi Hernanadez has had his say on the matter, and has promotes the credentials of Celtic's Fraser Forster.
‘I think the players all know about the Forster interest – and it is a player we know very well.’
‘I can’t say that I watch him every week – but when we have played Celtic he has shown that he is a world-class goalkeeper.’
‘From what I have seen he has everything to succeed at a club like Barcelona – and with his Champions League performances for Celtic I am sure there will be more than one big club interested in him.’
So there you have it, Fraser Forster will almost definitely be Barcelona's first choice 'keeper next season.
