Bill Healy says that without powerlifting and the Hercules club on Dublin's Lurgan Street, he might not be alive today.

After suffering from an alcohol problem, Healy is now 26 years sober.

The 67-year-old can do a 235kg squat, a 147.5kg bench and a 242.5kg deadlift.

He is also an 18-time world champion. His son is a world champion too and his grandson a youth world champion.
