After previewing divisions three and four, we now turn our attention the second tier of this years Allianz National Football League. Here are a few games that caught our eye.

Meath v Kildare

881998

The Leinster rivals are back in the same division as each other and their clash on Saturday will be a good marker to see who can establish themselves as the no.2 team in the province ahead of this year's championship.

Kildare will be set on gaining promotion back to the top division and the Royal County will provide a big test. The match will be shown live on Setanta Sports.

Meath v Westmeath

948435

Another local derby that promises to be a fiesty affair. While Meath may be the more decorated of the two counties, it is Westmeath who have featured more heavily in both division one and two in recent years.

After a disastrous 2014 campaign it will be interesting to see if they can fight for promotion or will they be sucked in a relegation battle?

Roscommon v Galway

Like Meath and Kildare, these two counties will be trying to lay down a mark ahead of their provincial championship. It wouldn't be outrageous to suggest Rocommon should be considered favaourites for this derby but maybe this will finally be the year where Galway live up their potential.

Galway v Kildare

No matter where either side are the football hierarchy, this is a match that always entertains. Memories of 1998 still live on while this year, many of the players will know each other from their U21 All Ireland semi-final clash when outsiders Galway emerged victorious.

Cavan v Meath

If one were to pick the biggest football rivaly involving two teams who aren't in the same province as each other then Cavan v Meath would be right up there.

In 2013 Cavan hammered Meath in Pairc Tailteann but it was the Leinster side who ended up getting promoted. This year both sides are as likely to get promoted as they are to get relegated so when they meet on the final weekend there could be a plenty to play for.
