Sisters Feature As TU Dublin Dominate Third Level Camogie Team Of The Year

Five players from Ashbourne Cup champions TU Dublin have been rewarded for their performances in this year's competition by being named on the Electric Ireland Camogie Third Level Rising Stars Team of the Year.

Two of the standout names on the TU Dublin team are Gannon sisters Niamh and Claire of St Judes who both feature in the half-back line.

The remainder of the team is filled by four players from beaten finalists UCC, two each from beaten semi-finalists DCU and SETU Waterford, and also two players from UL.

This year’s Electric Ireland Camogie Third Level Rising Star Player of the Year is TU Dublin’s Megan Dowdall. The Westmeath native, who plays hails from the Clonkill club, scored 1-3 - all from play - in this year's final.
