At the age of just 29, David Bentley retired from football after falling out of love with the game.

He finished his career with seven England caps and plenty of unfulfilled potential.

This week he will return to the training pitch, it will be an unfamiliar one though. As part of a documentary Bentley will swaps codes with former Armagh footballer Aaron Kernan.

Bentley will join up with Crossmaglen Rangers while Aaron Kernan will be training with Sunderland.

The two will also swap jobs. The ex-Spurs player will work with Kernan Property Services while Kernan will be selling houses in his time not spent on the training pitch.

Hopefully Bentley won't have have to endure anything as farcical as last September's 'Jeans-gate' incident during his time with Cross.

As part of the same show, Kilkenny's Jackie Tyrrell is going to swap the hurley for the baseball bat as he joins up with the Miami Marlins.
