Just as they triumphed in the 2023 All-Ireland final, champions Cork dominated the 2023 PwC Camogie All-Star Awards at a brilliant ceremony on Saturday evening, winning 8 All-Stars to cap an unforgettable season for the Rebels.

It was a night to celebrate the best and the brightest in the sport of camogie.

Cork stars Amy O’Connor, Katrina Mackey, Hannah Looney, Libby Coppinger, Meabh Cahalane, Laura Treacy, Amy Lee and Saoirse McCarthy all took home All-Stars.

This year's defeated finalists Waterford picked up three PwC Camogie All-Stars, with Vikki Falconer chosen at corner back, Lorraine Bray in midfield and Beth Carton chosen at centre forward.

It was a night to remember for Cork camogie as manager Matthew Twomey was chosen as 2023 PwC Camogie Manager of the Year.

After the ceremony, Cork All-Star Hannah Looney explained why this year's PwC All-Stars were felt extra special.

"At the end of the day, I was here the last couple of years and we didn't have the O'Duffy Cup with us, so August 6th is what it meant to us. You know, Aisling Thompson wrote a message into the group chat this evening saying 'look, best of luck to you all tonight, some of you will be disappointed but it doesn't define us as players. What defines us as players is what we did on August 6'. I'm just delighted to be celebrating here with my teammates.

Derry’s Aine McAllister was chosen as PwC GPA Camogie Intermediate Player of the Year while Ellen Casey of Clare won the coveted PwC GPA Camogie Premier Junior Player of the Year award.

Enda McDonagh, Managing Partner, PwC, said:  "On behalf of everyone at PwC, huge congratulations to all the winners of the 2023 PwC Camogie All-Stars, PwC Camogie Soaring Stars, Manager of the Year and the PwC GPA Camogie Player of the Year Awards."
