TV3's Lucy Kennedy took up residence in Davy Fitzgerald's spare room during the summer. Last night, we were presented with a glimpse of the All-Ireland winners' home life.

Despite managing Wexford's senior hurlers, Fitzgerald still lives in Clare - just outside of Sixmilebridge.

Here's a few things we learned from this episode of Living With Lucy

1. He lives in an absolute palace

Unsure what was expected of Fitzgerald's family home, this house just outside of Sixmilebridge is something else. Well equipped with a spacious games room (table-tennis & pool available), he's doing something right.

2. He has slept with Liam MacCarthy

3. Davy has never had a pizza or Chinese takeaway

A venerable creature of habit, Davy goes to the same restaurant in Limerick city every week, and orders the same meal ... every week! Opposed to the very thought of branching out, when the restaurant took his Chicken Maryland off the menu, he had to ask personally to have it put right back on. On top of that, he has never had a pizza or Chinese

6. He is an all-round decent fella

A popular figure in the local community, Davy was seen turning up to the birthday party of one Clare hurling's biggest fans. The young girl in question could hardly contain her excitement when Davy came in to present her with a birthday cake and one of his personalised tops.

7. He is an advocate of hurlers using a 'cup'

When discussing the physical dangers of playing hurling at any level, Fitzgerald is in vehement support of players protecting themselves. Right down to the most valuable assets, Davy revealed that during his playing days he was not adverse to using a 'cup'.

8. He has no real flexibility worth speaking of

9. He was propositioned by a political party

When Kennedy suggested Davy Fitzgerald could make inroads as a politician, he revealed that a two-hour sit down with an unnamed political leader had occurred.

However, on closer inspection he estimated that such a career move was ultimately not for him.
