The cast and crew of Sky's A League Of Their Own turned up in West Kerry this week to record a segment for the show.

Regulars Jamie Redknapp, Freddie Flintoff and Romesh Ranganathan were there along with special guest Patrice Evra. It was reported that the actor Idris Elba was also part of the recording, though this does not appear to have been the case.

Former Manchester United and France defender Evra learnt about Irish dancing from Kerry footballer Tomás Ó Sé. The 2014 minor All-Ireland winner, who has also played for the senior Kerry side, has toured the world with Riverdance.

The show's panellists also took part in a score of road bowling on a 1 km course near Ballyferriter on Tuesday.

According to Road Bowls In Ireland, who organised the event, the segment will air "in the coming months". Producers of the show discovered road bowling when they came across a live stream of a competition.

The cast also enjoyed a pint a Kruger's Bar in Dunquin.
