Eoin Cody was almost embarrassed to receive the Man of the Match award as Ballyhale won the All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling title against Dunloy.

Crucial to their victory was the performance of Eoin Cody, who scored 1-5 in their 1-22 to 1-15 win over the Antrim champions, who gave absolutely everything.

Despite an incredible performance from the Kilkenny forward, Eoin Cody was extremely humble in receiving the Man of the Match award, as he looked in disbelief in receiving it.

Can I ask you one question? Are you sure this is not for Joey Holden? The lads are going to give me a lot of stick. Joey Holden should be man-of-the-match, so thanks for that now.

It's unbelievable, every All-Ireland is unreal. To be involved in the last four All-Ireland's and win three in unbelievable. It's incredible really for such a small club, and a great group of lads.

It's been a very tough year off the pitch, and on the pitch losing the final last year. For me, my Uncle Paul, the last game he saw me wear the Ballyhale jersey was the All-ireland final last year. It's heartbreaking that for my uncle to see that as his last game was to lose an All-Ireland.

I wish he was here today to see what we have accomplished."
