Paddy Power suspended betting for a time on who the first GAA presenter on Sky Sports will be, should they secure TV rights for championship matches.

Current SSN anchor Rachel Wyse was backed to the hills over the weekend, prompting the turf accountant to suspend the market for a period before opening it again this evening. Other personalities featured in the market are Eoin McDevitt, Enda Brady and Brian Carney but Wyse is now 1/9 favourite, having started out at evens.

A spokesperson for Paddy Power said 'This looks to be the mother of all one horse races in the eyes of our bettors as we’ve taken over €1,500 on Wyse and not a bean elsewhere. Punters seemed to be willing to back her at any price and we’re definitely running scared on this one.'

Of course nothing is confirmed yet as to whether Sky will actually secure any rights, never mind who the presenter will be but I'm still holding out hope it will be 100/1 shot Effin' Eddie.
