Ballybacon/Grange defeated Ballinahinch 2-14 to 0-19 in their Tipperary Intermediate Hurling Championship relegation semi-final on Saturday.

The winning point was scored from a free by 47-year-old Tipperary legend Brendan Cummins.

Ballybacon/Grange had led by a goal at half-time but Ballinahinch fought back, and held a two-point advantage during the second half. However, a goal by Luke O’Brien and Cummins's point saved Bally's bacon.
