If the Brian Cowen Wastedgate story taught us one thing, it's that everyone on the Irish internet (except Noel Whelan) has the same fucking opinion.

It seems to have slipped everyone's attention bar Miriam Lord that there is a comedy genius buried somewhere inside his gruff exterior. We were a bit shocked, though, to read about the sports figures he'd chosen to imitate:

This time, he did a very funny routine, mimicking Micheál Ó Muircheartaigh along with a famous Kilkenny hurler and a quintessential Dub.

M'OM: inspired. But who are the others? DJ Carey? Barney Rock? Bertie? How could any routine involving imitating Kilkenny hurlers be amusing?

He then did an extremely funny impersonation of former Ryder Cup golfer Philip Walton who had a rather high-pitched voice, and his then team captain, the gruff Scotsman Bernard Gallacher.

Who? What? Biffo, your references are so obscure. No wonder the people don't understand you.
