Having managed his side to the most surprising of League of Ireland wins last season, Shelbourne's Damien Duff must now saddle his troops again and try to return on the high expectations he's set in and around Drumcondra.
The former Chelsea star is well known for his use of famous contacts, with the likes of Jose Mourinho giving his input as Shels went down the stretch last season.
Ahead of the new season, however, Duff has been keeping it closer to home, enlisting the help of some of the country's most famous GAA legends to inspire his side.

Duff to enlist the help of GAA legends for new season
Ahead of the new season, Shelbourne striker Sean Boyd, who recently renewed his contract with the North Dublin outfit revealed that Duff's network was a big part of how he gets the most out of his players.
Speaking to Daniel McConnell of the Irish Independent, Boyd told of how Brian Fenton will be linking up with the camp over the next few weeks.
That’s what he does, he picks people and wants you to pick their brains and get as much information as possible.
Brian is going to come in for a day and run with us and speak with us. A couple of lads know Brian and were [saying], ‘He’ll be terrible at the speaking thing, you should just leave him run’. Come here, it’s very interesting. I think he [Duff] is on a bit of a GAA buzz at the minute, so I’d say there will be a couple coming in.
Aside from being one of the greatest footballers of his era, the seven-time All-Ireland winner is well-known for his support of Shels, often attending games in Tolka alongside Jack McCaffrey. Fenton and his former teammates Stephen Cluxton and James McCarthy also played a charity match for the club recently.
Fenton isn't the only GAA star who has made his presence known around Duff's squad, either. Kerry legend Kieran Donaghy coincidentally stumbled by the camp during the week.
The Kerry legend's day job fitting astro turfs took him to The AUL where Shelbourne train, with the Armagh and Shelbourne coaches discussing their similarly difficult task of following up surprise LOI and Sam Maguire wins with success again in 2025.
Donaghy and Fenton's presence has only complimented the imminent permanent arrival of Mossy Quinn at Shelbourne, after the Irish football club lured him away from Dublin GAA to become their new CEO.
