Carlow have rarely known Championship days as heady as these: their home game with Monaghan tonight in Netwatch Cullen Park is their fifth in this year's Championship: they haven't played as many since the Summer days of the 1940s.

They have a shot at history tonight, by extending their run of games and reaching the last 12 in the country, but their goalkeeper Craig Kearney is certainly not allowing the prospect of the big occasion to gobble him up ahead of the game.
