It may only be early May but Cavan Gaels' Luke Fortune has perhaps already scored the goal of the year, after he toed the hand to glory in an incredible solo run against Crosserlough last weekend.

Cavan Gaels kept their unbeaten start in ACFL Division One going with 2-11 t0 0-13 win on Saturday, thanks in no small part to Fortune's wondergoal. A Sigerson Cup winner with UCD, Fortune is a corner back by nature and that's where he started his run, collecting the ball inside his own 21 metre line before running the length of the field and burying it in the onion bag.
