Teams across Clare paid tribute to Michael O'Shea on Saturday.

The former Clare footballer tragically died last month aged just 37 after a battle with illness. O'Shea played inter-county football with Clare for 15 seasons.

Sides in Championship action on Saturday remembered the Garda Síochána member by retiring the number 15 shirt for the day - the one he wore regularly when lining out for Clare.

That clubs would do so was the idea of former Clare selector David O'Brien who proposed the idea on Twitter on the day after O'Shea's death.

O'Shea's club, St. Senan's Kilkee, also paid tribute to O'Shea with their performance on Saturday. They defeated Clarecastle in the Clare IFC.
