The Cill Dara Times last week put up a very interesting video from the Leinster championship back in 1998 (people have these videos lying around for 16 years before tossing them up on Youtube.) The video features Kildare's Niall 'Nuxer' Buckley hammering Laois star and future Newstalk luminary, Colm 'Wooly' Parkinson with an earth-juddering shoulder back in 1998.
Parkinson, who was only a year out of minor and went on to play in that year's compromised rules series against Australia, was sent tumbling by the rampaging Buckley who starred in Kildare's run to the All-Ireland final that year. Buckley (as can be seen from the video below) went on to curl over a sensational point at the end of this move.
Parkinson was unbowed by the appearance of the video.
