The Irish Examiner reported on Wednesday that Niall Quinn was the hot favourite to front Sky's GAA coverage this summer. It's fair to say that Quinn would probably not have been the most popular of choices. He's not exactly beloved as a football analyst anyway.

Well anyone who was concerned about the possibility need not worry anymore. Quinn dismissed the rumours as "foolish stuff in the press" when interviewed by Nathan Murphy on Newstalk this afternoon.

I'm going to watch GAA games. I think there was a lot of foolish stuff in the press there during the week. I won't be working or anything like that at GAA games. I'm looking forward to going and watching the Dubs again this year and Tipperary showed a bit of heart last week against Kilkenny, so I'm looking forward to getting to as many games as I can.
