Rarely shy of an opinion or letting people know how he feels, former Offaly All-Ireland winner Daithi Regan has heavily criticized former Offaly Hurling manager Eamon Kelly for taking over the Laois job, which has been up for grabs since the man with the best name in the GAA - Cheddar Plunkett - stepped down in September.
Kelly stepped away from the Offaly position in August and at the time was quoted as saying he did not have the time to commit to the job ahead of next year:
Having reviewed the season just gone and considered the increasing personal and business demands on my time at present, I have informed Offaly County Board that I will not be in a position to continue as manager of the Senior Hurling team for 2017.
After the announcement that Kelly had returned to management with Offaly's midland rivals Laois, Daithi Regan took to twitter to make his feelings clear:

Regan went one step further in questioning the credibility of Eamon Kelly, who led Offaly to a 3-22 to 2-14 victory over Laois in the 2016 Leinster Championship.

Laois take on Offaly in the Hurling League on the 18th of February and the appointment of Eamon Kelly should add some extra spice to this midlands derby.
