The incredible season of David Clifford continued today as his Fossa side cruised into the Junior All-Ireland Club Final.

The Munster Junior Champions made light work of Meath champions Castletown 3-14 to 0-11 to book their place in the final, where they will face Tyrone side Galbally Pearses.

The Kerry side have looked unstoppable this season, with 2022 footballer of the year David Clifford key to their success so far.

David Clifford kicked six points today, in what was a somewhat quieter performance for his standards. Nevertheless, he was part of everything positive on Fossa's attacking play.

In unpleasant conditions in Portlaoise, it was a sold out crowd for the semi-final. In the final moments of the game, the crowd was desperate to greet the biggest star in GAA at the moment, with hundreds of fans running towards David Clifford at full time.

David Clifford's Incredible Year

It's difficult to remember a player that has won so many titles in such a short space of time. From last April to next week's All-Ireland final, Clifford's list of achievements is something else.

In April, he made light work of Mayo's defence as Kerry ran out comfortable winners in Allianz Division One final.

His exceptional form continued in the championship, as Kerry strolled to a Munster title, before claiming their first All-Ireland title in eight years in the victory over Galway.

After being named the 2022 Footballer of the year in the all-star awards, he was crucial to East Kerry as they won the Senior county championship.

David Clifford's attention then turned to Fossa, helping them to a Junior title, before conquering Munster to reach today's semi-final.

Should they win the All-Ireland title, it would complete an incredible season for Clifford. Kerry fans however, will be hoping he has time to rest ahead of the upcoming season.
