Both the Dublin and Armagh county board have been handed proposed fines of €5,000, according to this morning's Irish Independent. Both sides will have until Monday to appeal their fines.
The CCCC's investigation has come to a close - again - but it seems no players will be served with suspensions, with the committee issuing fines instead. Their investigation was originally closed after video footage was insufficient in showing either the clash that left Davy Byrne with severe facial injuries or the melee which broke out between both sides.
However, they decided to look at the case again after Jim Gavin admitted to Colm Parkinson that Byrne had had a frank discussion with the Armagh player in question after the match.
Will this finally put it to bed?
