East Kerry won their first Kerry SFC title in 20 years on Sunday, beating reigning champions Dr Crokes by ten points at Austin Stack Park in Tralee.

At the end of the 60 minutes, the scoreboard read East Kerry 2:14 Dr Crokes 1-7.

The game was well over before the final whistle of a game which saw three players shown reds card, Pa Warren of East Kerry, along with Mark O'Shea and Mike Moloney of Crokes.

David Clifford scored 1-3 - his goal came just after half-time and put East Kerry side up by seven points - while his older brother Paudie was named Man of the Match.

As East Kerry are a divisional side, they will not represent Kerry in the Munster club championship. Instead, Austin Stacks, who won the Kerry Club Championship way back in April, will face Nemo Rangers in the Munster semi-final next weekend.
