As with 2013, Eoin Cadogan has decided to play with the Cork footballers for next season. Cadogan was largely overlooked by Jimmy Barry Murphy in 2014.

The era of the dual player appears to have had it's day in Cork, with Aidan Walsh committing to the hurlers for next season. It's a sad day given that back in the 70's and 80's it seemed like every Cork player was a dual player.

Brian Cuthbert expressed delight at his decision.

I am delighted to have Eoin on board for 2015. Preparations are under way for the year ahead, and we look forward to returning to competitive action.

Jimmy Barry Murphy wished him well and said he would be welcomed back into the hurling fold should he decide to change his mind in the future.

Obviously we are disappointed to lose Eoin but we wish him well with the footballers in 2015.The door is always open for his return to Cork hurling should circumstances allow.
