Mark McGovern of Fermanagh club Belcoo O'Rahilly's is in a coma tonight after suffering a head injury in a GAA match in San Francisco on Saturday. McGovern had only recently joined up with Ulster San Francisco with two other clubmates. His roommate in San Francisco Tim Harney of Antrim tweeted last night and tonight about the situation and described the hit on McGovern as a 'cowardly act', a 'scummy action', the 'worst action he'd ever seen' and an 'absolute joke'.

Harney believes that McGovern was on the receiving end of a knee or kick to the face. There's some more information at the Belcoo O'Rahilly's website. Thankfully, Harney has tweeted that McGovern has made some improvements. Our thoughts are with him.
