We're looking forward to another busy GAA weekend, and hopefully making a few pound from some of the action. However, for fear we'd end up with a betting slip as long as our arm, we've had to narrow it down to just the football matches.

So we've gone with three selections, all decent bets on their own but also add up to nice 22/1 treble if anyone's feeling froggy.

Dublin -8 to beat Meath (5/6)

Granted a Dublin v Meath match is like no other – dare we use the cliché 'The form book goes out the window' – but all logic points to big win for the Dubs. They're 6/5 at -9 but let's not get greedy. A nine point win at the very least looks more than realistic and 5/6 for it to happen is very enticing.

Fermanagh to beat Cavan (7/5)

It's round two for these lads mere weeks after their Ulster Championship clash. Yet again it's very tough to pick a winner but this time we're leaning towards Fermanagh. 7/5 is a decent price considering they were so close to a victory in the first match. Looking back on the previous tie, they didn't turn up for the first half yet came very close to winning. Indeed, but for a missed free-kick when a point down with two minutes of normal time, and two brilliant interceptions by Cavan's centre-half back Alan Clarke it could have been the Maguire men who came out on top.

So while a Cavan win would be no surprise, we like the chances of upset in this one.

Jamie Clarke first goalscorer for Armagh v Leitrim (4/1)

It's a very dangerous game to try predict first goalscorers in Gaelic football but 4/1 for Clarke could well be worth a punt. He got two goals against Wicklow and but for a bad refereeing decision would have had also bagged one against Cavan. Armagh should win comfortably enough against Leitrim, and it wouldn't be a stretch to predict some goals for the Orchard county, given Grimley's attacking approach.

It's definitely worth a few quid as a stand-alone bet but if you're looking to build a small accumulator with a decent price then its also a great option.
