You would be forgiven for overlooking the Connacht Colleges A League Final between St. Attracta's College of Sligo and Rice College of Mayo last week.

In a continued upturn of fortune for Sligo football, it was the team from Sligo that wrapped up a convincing 2-8 to 1-7 win; retaining their title in the process.

Not too dismayed by the progress of their lads however, the Mayo News threw up probably the highlight of the whole event.

While there is every chance that they were willing this possibility for years, a Tubbercurry win worked well for an eager sports department.

There's little more that can reasonably be said about this.

"Tubbercurry prove just too hot for Rice".

Bravo.
