TG4 To Show Wexford And Carlow Hurling Finals This Weekend

TG4 will show both the Wexford and Carlow hurling finals this Sunday, September 19th.

The Wexford final will see St Anne's Rathangan meet Rapparees.

St Anne's defeated 2020 championship Shelmaliers 2-19 to 1-16 in Sunday's semi-final, while Rapparees beat Glynn-Barntown 2-15 to 1-14 in the other last-four game.

The game will be Rapparees' first appearance in the final since 2001. The club has just one Wexford SHC title, which was won in 1978.

St Anne's, will be seeking just their third ever title win. Their last came in 2000 when they beat Oulart-The-Ballagh. The club lost the 2019 decider to St Martin's and the 2014 final to Shelmaliers.

The Carlow final features Mt Leinster Rangers and Naomh Moling. Over the weekend, Mt Leinster Rangers beat Naomh Eoin 0-17 to 0-7 to reach the final, while Naomh Moling beat Bagenalstown Gaels 2-14 to 1-11.

Mount Leinster Rangers are the reigning champions, having beaten Ballinkillen in the 2020 decider. The game will be ninth meeting of the two sides in the final over the last 16 seasons.
