Strap yourself in, because we are in for an incredible weekend of Allianz National Football League action in the coming days.

There are promotion and relegation places to be decided across all four divisions, with only one side in the three bottom three tiers assured of promotion as things stand. Similarly, only team has been relegated as of yet.

Things are very tight, with five teams in with a chance of being relegated from the top tier. The same number of sides could also finish second.

Here are all the promotion and relegation permutations ahead of a big weekend.

Division 1

Fixtures

Donegal v Armagh
Kerry v Tyrone
Mayo v Kildare
Monaghan v Dublin

The Final

Kerry have already secured their place in the final, with Mayo or Armagh most likely set to join them.

A victory for Mayo over Kildare in their final fixture will guarantee them a place in the decider due to holding the head-to-head advantage over the Ulster side, although McGeeney's men will finish second if they win their last game (in Donegal) and Mayo fail to do so.

If both of those counties lose, we will end up with at least four counties (as well as possibly Tyrone) tied for second place on seven points. Scoring difference would then come into play, with Armagh holding the advantage in those stakes as things stand.

Relegation

Only three teams in the division are certain of their place in it for next year.

Monaghan and Dublin will face off in Clones knowing that the losers in that one will be relegated.

Any of Kildare, Donegal, or Tyrone could yet join them depending on results elsewhere. Things could get a bit complicated rather quickly.

If Dublin and Monaghan draw and the other three counties all lose, we will end up with five counties on five points. Things would then come down to scoring difference, with the worst two being relegated. Dublin would be the only team assured of safety in that scenario due to their current scoring difference being better than Monaghan and Tyrone (and remaining unchanged due to a draw).

If there is a winner in the Monaghan-Dublin game and a draw in one of the fixtures involving the other three teams, we could see things could down to head-to-head as two sides finish up on six points.

In all, anything could yet happen.

Division 2

Fixtures

Down v Clare
Meath v Derry
Offaly v Cork
Roscommon v Galway

Promotion

Galway have already secured promotion, with Roscommon looking most likely to join them.

Those two sides meet this weekend, with Padraig Joyce likely to rest a few players ahead of the league final. A win for Roscommon would secure a spot in Division 1 for 2023.

Derry are the only other side in play for that spot. They will be promoted if they beat Meath and Galway defeat the Rossies.

If they draw in Navan and Roscommon lose, or if they win and Roscommon draw, second place will come down to scoring difference due to the draw between the sides last weekend.

Relegation

This relegation battle has a bit of added spice to it, with the two teams involved consigned to the Tailteann Cup this summer unless they go on to reach a provincial final.

Down have been relegated to Division 3 already, with one of Offaly, Cork, or Clare (although they are likely already safe) set to join them.

Recommended

A win for Clare in Down would be enough to secure survival, while a draw would also be enough due to the fact that Offaly and Cork will face each other this weekend.

The loser of Offaly vs Cork will be relegated. However, a draw in that game coupled with a defeat for Clare would mean all three teams would end up on four points and things would come down to scoring difference.

Due to Offaly's inferior standing in that category, they would go down unless Clare lose to Down by 28 points or more.

Division 3

Fixtures

Antrim v Westmeath
Laois v Longford
Limerick v Fermanagh
Wicklow v Louth

Promotion

Nothing is decided as of yet in Division 3, with the two teams who are promoted meaning they will not be playing in the Tailteann cup this summer.

It's all to play for at the top of the table here. Five teams are still in with a chance of promotion, although Louth are in the driving seat. They only  need a draw from their visit to Wicklow to ensure they finish in the top two.

Limerick will also be guaranteed at least second spot if they win at home to Fermanagh. If one of those two sides lose, things will get very interesting.

A victory for either Antrim or Westmeath (who face each other), coupled with a Limerick loss would see the winners of that one promoted.

Should Limerick draw, it could come down to head-to-head. Limerick beat Antrim a number of weeks ago, but they lost to Westmeath.

Louth hold the head-to-head over both Antrim and Westmeath, meaning that they could only fail to be promoted if they lose to Fermanagh and Limerick draw their fixture. That could leave three teams tied on nine points, with the two promotion places coming down to scoring difference.

Fermanagh's only chance of promotion will come if they beat Limerick by 18 points or more, coupled with a draw between Antrim and Westmeath.

Relegation

Three teams find themselves in the relegation battle.

Laois know that a draw or victory against Longford will be enough to stay up. If they lose that game, and Wicklow do not beat Louth, then they will be relegated due to Longford's advantage on the head-to-head.

Should Longford and Wicklow both win and Laois lose, all three teams will be tied on scoring difference, with Laois currently having a sizeable advantage in that area.

Division 4

Fixtures

Carlow v Wexford
Cavan v Waterford
Sligo v Leitrim
Tipperary v London

Promotion

Cavan look set to secure promotion at the first time of trying, with other three teams also still in the battle for a top two spot.

The only scenario that would see the Ulster side not promoted would be a loss at home to Waterford by six points or more, coupled with a draw for Tipperary and a winner in the Sligo-Leitrim game.

Tipperary will be guaranteed that position if they defeat London.

Sligo and Leitrim play each other, with the winners being promoted if Tipp lose their final fixture.

If there is a winner and that game and Tipperary draw their match, it will come down to head-to-head. Tipperary have the head-to-head advantage over Sligo, but they lost to Leitrim earlier in the campaign.

With Tipp's game taking place on Saturday evening, the top two spots could already be decided before the other games throw-in the following day.

There is no relegation from Division 4.
