The 2024 GAA Championship is ramping up as we head into another weekend of jampacked action, with exciting matches from around the country. Here is our guide to GAA on TV this weekend:
The Munster round-robin game between Cork and Clare will be a decisive one as the loser of the clash will have lost their two opening games and will effectively be knocked out of the Championship. Something that league champions Clare will be hoping to avoid.
Elsewhere Tipperary will be hoping to get their Munster hurling championship off to a good start when they take on neighbours and defending champions Limerick in the TUS Gaelic Grounds. Tipperary will be hoping to get one over on Limerick following a narrow one point loss to the All Ireland champions, in the Allianz Hurling League earlier in the year.
The Leinster Hurling Championship is starting to heat up with Wexford taking on Antrim and Dublin heading to Netwatch Cullen Park to face Carlow on Saturday.
On Sunday the old rivalry between Galway and Kilkenny takes place in Pearse Stadium with that game going to post at 2 pm. Both teams will be keen to set down a marker, with Galway hoping to claim a win over the defending champions having not beaten the Cats in the championship since 2022. Kilkenny beat the Tribes men 4-21 to 2-26 to claim the title last year.
The All-Ireland senior football championship continues with in the third weekend of provincial games providing the entertainment.
In Ulster Armagh will be hoping to build on their 3-11 to 0-9 win over Fermanagh as they face Down in the Ulster football Semi Final. Armagh will be hoping return to the final and claim the Ulster title in the absence of current holder Derry.
Donegal on the other hand will have grown in confidence having beaten Derry last weekend with Jim McGuinness' men building great momentum as they head to Celtic Park for their semi final clash with Tyrone.
The Leinster football championship also heads into the semi final rounds with a Croke Park double header kicked off by Kildare and Louth, closely followed by favourites Dublin who take on Offlay.
