Galway GAA have been scolded and ordered to six weeks after-school detention having repeatedly failed to properly supply the Connacht Tribune with the club fixtures.

John McIntyre, sports editor of the newspaper, decided to explain to readers why they were not being made aware of upcoming matches. He criticised Galway GAA's inadequate submissions, saying 'We find the lack of co-operation from the GAA office mind boggling.'
