Cork camogie star Hannah Looney says her 'dream came true' on Wednesday as she got rowed down the River Lee while holding the O'Duffy Cup.

Looney scored a point for Cork on Sunday as her side defeated Waterford 5-13 to 0-9 to win the All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship title for first time in five years.

Their celebrations spilled into the middle of the week, and continued on Wednesday afternoon. Looney posted to Instagram on Tuesday evening asking people to "Please come out and support... My dream is coming true tomorrow and I am being row down the Lee!!!"

Looney and the cup launched from Cork Boat Club in Blackrock Village at 12:30pm in a four-person boat.

"I just can't describe the feeling," she told The Sunday Game.

"It's absolutely fantastic. We've had a couple of hard years, and we knew if this group stayed together and kept believing that we'd get over the line. A lot went into this year.

"We had struggles. Waterford beat us in the Munster Championship, Galway beat us twice this year and we kept coming back, and kept coming back. I'm just so proud to be part of this team.

"Amy O'Connor told us 'Now is our time' when we were leaving the dressing room and it's now time for Cork to reign! That was just in our minds. We were ruthless and we wanted every ball today like it was our last ball. I'm just so proud that every single Cork player up their body on the line, and that's what got us over the line."
