According to the Kilkenny People, a new pedestrian bridge in Kilkenny city centre could be named after Shefflin.

President of the Kilkenny Chamber of Commerce and Industry Donie Butler suggested naming the bridge after Shefflin on KCLR radio and it is beginning to take hold. The bridge is due to be opened by 24 November but has not yet been named, with the Borough Council still taking suggestions.

Does Kilkenny really need another bridge? Or are they building it just so they can name it after King Henry?
