It is not the first time the GAA have fixed a game to clash with a huge soccer final this year. The Champions League final took place at the same time as Cork and Tipperary's Munster football semi-final encounter.

The 'Super 8s' groups will be confirmed this weekend after the last round of qualifiers. Group one will see Kerry, Galway, Fermanagh or Kildare, Laois or Monaghan. In group two, it will be Donegal, Dublin, Cork or Tyrone, Roscommon or Armagh.
