Kerry GAA have confirmed that John Sugrue has been ratified as the U20 manager for 2020.

Sugrue takes over from Jack O'Connor, who has since joined Kildare as their senior football manager.

Sugrue himself stood down as Laois boss earlier this year after two successful years in charge. They reached round four of the qualifiers in both 2018 and 2019. As well as that, Laois reached a Leinster final in 2018 and secured back to back promotions in the league to rise to Division 2.

Laois confirmed former Kerry footballer Mike Quirke will replace Sugrue.

The Kingdom were well beaten at U20 this year by eventual All-Ireland winners Cork in the Munster final.
