Kevin Cassidy helps Donegal win in Boston from Jerome Quinn on Vimeo.

What a strange summer it must be for Kevin Cassidy. While Donegal have that je ne sais quoi of All-Ireland champions, last year's All-Star finds himself wearing the familiar green and yellow, only the Boston version. Six days from now, Cassidy should be leading the marauding Donegal defense, instead he finds himself an exile in Boston, playing on a Donegal team with Dessie Dolan in it. Jerome Quinn captured Cass's role in setting up two goals for Donegal's hammering of Galway in Canton, Mass. last weekend. Followers of Cassidy's Twitter feed will see lots of posts about his lovely daughters and his home club Gweedore (but not a whole lot about the Donegal senior set-up). For some reason, I'm holding out hope that McGuinness might bring Cassidy back, if not for next Sunday, then for the All-Ireland final.
