The New Year has passed and in the world of GAA that only means one thing - the return of Laochra Gael.
Tipperary All-Ireland winner Pádraic Maher will tell his story in the first of eight episodes, that will air over two months starting on the 23rd January.
Starting with Maher, the 23rd edition of the series will also bring the stories of Kerry's Marc Ó Sé, Wexford's Ursula Jacob, Armagh's Ronan Clarke, Offaly All-Ireland winning manager Michael Bond, Cork's Brid Stack and of course Cork hurling twins Ben and Jerry O'Connor aired on TG4 weekly until March.
The new series launched in Dublin's lighthouse cinema on Thursday and you can catch the trailer for season 23 below:
2025 Laochra Gael Line-Up
Pádraic Maher (Tipperary) - 9.30 pm, Thursday 23rd January
Maher is one of Tipperary and the country's most decorated hurlers. Not only did he claim three senior All-Irelands and five Munster championships, but the defender who retired in 2022 also holds U21 and minor All-Ireland winning medals for his county.

Marc Ó Sé (Kerry) - 9.30 pm, Thursday 30th January
A three-time All-Star and former footballer of the year, Ó Sé who won five Sam Maguires and ten league titles during his stellar intercounty career will be the focus of Laochra Gael's second episode.
Ursula Jacob (Wexford) - 9.30 pm, Thursday 6th February
Now a mainstay of RTÉ's GAA coverage, Jacob like O'Sé and Maher has multiple All-Irelands to her name. Her fifteen years playing Camogie for Wexford saw her claim an astonishing ten Leinster titles and four All-Irelands. Having suffered major injuries during her career, this is set to be a fascinating episode.
Ronan Clarke (Armagh) - 9.30 pm, Thursday 13th February
The 2002 Young Footballer of the Year is front and centre of the fourth episode. Clarke shot onto the scene in 2002 claiming an All-Ireland in his maiden intercounty year. While he retired in 2010, Clarke has enjoyed plenty of managerial roles since, taking charge of sides like Silverbridge and Cavan Gaels.
Michael Bond (Galway) – 9.30pm, Thursday 20th February
Born in Galway, adored in Offaly, Bond managed the Faithful County to their 1998 All-Ireland hurling title in sensational fashion, with an on-field protest setting up a famous third-final replay. This episode should be a cracker.

Bríd Stack (Cork) - 9.30 pm, Thursday 27th February
Stack needs little introduction. She's an eleven-time All-Ireland winner, seven time All-Star, former Ladies Footballer of the Year and she managed all that before taking up Australian Rules and moving to Sydney to play with the Giants. A must-watch.
Ben & Jerry O'Connor - 9.30 pm, Thursday 6th March
Hailing from an accomplished GAA family, Laochra Gael episode seven will see Ben O'Connor and his twin brother Jerry sit down together for the episode.
Eamon McGee (Donegal) - 9.30 pm, Thursday 13th March
The series will finish off with a bang when the Gaoth Dobhair man sits down to tell all about life and football in Donegal in March.
