During the week, Gary Walsh departed the Laois panel.

Walsh tweeted stating that after '150 sessions' with Laois this season, he was dropped with a simple phone call. It was a method of communicating the decision which annoyed the player.

He said that his commitment to the panel had been questioned because 'I let a few fucks out of me after being taken off against the Dubs'.

The forward had been substituted at half time during Laois' 2-21 to 2-10 loss to Dublin in the Leinster quarter-final at Nowlan Park.

On Saturday, Walsh issued another statement via Twitter thanking Laois management for allowing him to apologise 'unreservedly' for his 'threatening behaviour' towards Laois manager Mick Lillis during the game last weekend.

Presumably that threatening behaviour was delivered via the 'few fucks' which he conveyed when being substituted.

According to Midlands 103 Sport, Walsh has returned to the Laois panel.
