Michael Murphy and Shane Williams were already announced as participants for the gaelic football episode of this year's edition of the AIB-commissioned The Toughest Trade.

Murphy spent last week in France training with Top 14 side Clermont Auvergne and former Wales international Shane Williams trained and played a challenge game with Murphy's club Glenswilly, scoring four points.

It was announced today that Lee Chin will take part in the hurling episode this year. The Wexford man will head to Canada where he will join up with NHL side Vancouver Canucks.

Chin has previously proved himself to be a versatile sportsman. He played for Wexford Youths towards the end of last season.

Going the other way will be Canadian hockey player and 12-year NHL pro Alex Auld. The former goaltender now works as a coach. As part of his time with Chin's club Faythe Harriers, the well-travelled Auld will play in a challenge game against St. Martin's.

In previous editions, for the hurling side of the show, Jackie Tyrrell joined up with MLB team Miami Marlins and Brendan Maher went Down Under to train with cricket side Adelaide Strikers.
