In Carrick-on-Shannon, Leitrim, after a slow start against Louth that saw them trailing 1-4 to 0-2, turned the tables completely, pulling off a stunning 0-25 to 1-12 win.

Playing 'Samba football', Leitrim's second-half performance had viewers (and listeners) mesmerised.

Although James Craven's first-half red-card didn't help Louth's cause, Leitrim hit a number of points in succession. Needless to say, the beleaguered Leitrim fans were confused as to what was going on - but they loved it.

Never looking back as the second-half progressed, Leitrim, who were so convincingly beaten by Roscommon in the Connacht semi-final, clocked up their 25 points in some style.
